Polymarket might've been the talk around town before the US Presidential election but other than the Super Bowl last night, most volume has faded away. Compared to the peak of $2.6B, Polymarket only has about $242m of volume for the month of February so far. Yet the month is still young so my guess it'll be somewhere in the $500m-$1.2b range at the end of the month.

L2 Sequencer Net Profit

With all this debate on what Coinbase may or may not be doing with their sequencer profits, let's look at some of the most popular L2s and how much they are making from the networks. According to this dashboard, it appears Arbitrum has made the most (I have seen different numbers tossed around) with Base close behind. Optimism is down the most but looks like it is heading in the right direction now.

Uniswap V4 Launch Overview Dashboard

Today's dashboard is brought to you by Allium who put together some really good data points on Uniswap v4. Even though it's still early, I would've thought more trade volume would have moved from Uniswap v2 and v3 to v4 (v2 and v3 still do 99% of trade volume). Another interesting trend is the decrease in "hook" volume. Since 2/3/25, the majority of trade volume is from "non-hook" pools.

Ethereum gas fees have been historically low for the past several months, mainly due to the changes implemented for L2s via blobs. The largest gas users unsurprisingly are MEV bots, stablecoins, and DEXs. Even though ETH is incurring inflation (not enough burn to offset) we have seen gas spikes at times of high price volatility.

Berachain Mainnet Metrics Overview + Address Ranking Dune Dashboard

I can't say I'm a huge fan of alternative Layer 1 blockchains utilizing the EVM without giving any fees to Ethereum Mainnet but that appears to be Berachain's MO. Only being live for a little over a week, it has garnered ~1.4m transactions by ~227k unique addresses. There has also been over 6.6k contracts deployed. Most of this activity has happened over the past day or two since the airdrop checker went live.

The team over at Fluid (Instadapp rebrand) has been increasing limits on DEX pairs lately and we can see the swap demand continues to grow, especially for the USDC/ETH pair. High Frequency Trading activity has really picked up on blockchains over the past couple years. Primarily on chains like Solana, Base, and Binance Smart Chain but does still happen on Ethereum too. Total HFT by number of trades is around 65m compared to the total of ~195m. The volume however, especially on Solana shows how dominate it is - Solana HFT volume was ~$108B out of ~$222B total trade volume on all trades.

USDC Supply Change On ETH Since SVB Shutdown

In terms of historic events, the collapse/shutdown of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and its devastating effect on Circle's USDC supply will undoubtedly go down in crypto history. After reaching $56b of supply in June of 2022, USDC supply dwindled slowly until March of 2023 where it decreased by ~$20b in 6 months time. At the start of the event it also caused a widespread stablecoin depegging event affecting USDC, DAI, and others. Because of this, Tether's USDT has seen the majority of inflows this cycle but USDC is finding some footing bringing back ~$10b since then.

It appears the DEX runs on Solana and that is also where the "End Game Miners" are able to claim their rewards in wPOND, the project's incentive token.
